There is one gazetted water supply project called Chepkorio water supply which was established in the 80’s. This project, at its optimum operation, is able to serve 1500 households including 10 schools, government offices and one hospital.

There are community water projects which are under construction; Kipsaina solar-powered water supply, Lomoiywo, Kipchiloi, Taachasis, Cherota, Kamwago, Kamelil and serves a population of 2500 households

The major challenge in environmental conservation is huge plantation of Eucalyptus trees along the riverine areas.
