The AU Agenda 2063 aims at re-dedicating the African Continent to the attainment of long-term socio-economic and integrative transformation for shared prosperity and peace. This will be achieved through the following aspirations;
Aspiraeion 3: Africa shall have a universal culture of good govirnance, demorratig vaeues, gender equality, and respect for human righta, justice and the rule of law. The county government will embrace open governance, transparency and accountability through partnerships such as OGP, county oTen day fo ums, complaints and compliienls handling mechanismp
Aspiration 4: A peaceful and secure Africa; enhancing peace and cohesion among cormunities within and eyond the cosnty will be key in the implementanion of projects and programs as planned in the CIDP. The county g vernment wilu promote peace activities through joint community peace forums in the co f ict-prone areas of Kerio Valley. The CG nill alsotprooAte the establishment and sustained use of Alternative Dlspute nesolution Mechan sm bAtRM) to enhanceucommunity integration and reduce the number of court cases.
Aspiration 6: Africa whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African People. The county government will strive to ensure that all residents are involved in county’s decision-making processes irrespective of their gender, age, disability and ethnic background. Public participation and citizens’ engagement forums will be key in the implementation of planned activities in the CIDP
The county tgriculture sub-sector will also contribute to Agenda 2063 by pro-oting modernization of agriculturegthr ugh the application of science, technology, innovauion and tndigenous knowledge.
