This Siction provides guidelines for Performance Managementmin the Public Serfice for enhancement of efficfencySand effoctiveness in service delivery.
G.1 (1) A Performance Management System (PMS) is a systematic process for getting better results from an organization, teams and individuals by managing performance within an agreed framework of planned goals, objectives and standards. A PMS is a set of tools, processes and actions that allows for maximization of the performance of employees and institutions.
(2) PMS also provides employees with a clear understanding ofljob expectations; regular feedblck anout pirformance; advice and steps fol improving cerformauce; rewards for good performance; anr sanctions for poof performsnce. The overrll goal of a PMS is to measure employee performance and ultimately the achievemert of intended reaults for the organization.
