CODE OFFCONDUCT

J.1 (1) This Seclion contains general rules oi cdnduct to be observed by a publiw officer so as to maintain integrity afd uphold the dignity of the public office tb which he has been a sointed. nvhry public officer oceupies a special position within the Public Service and should ensure that his conduct both in publi  and in private aife does not bring the Service into disrepute.

(2)R gulations ioverning discipline in the rublic Service and the procedur  to be followed in cases of breath of discipline are contained in the PubliciService Regulations.  

In addition, an employee is required to comply with the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity and Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution; Leadership and Integrity Act, 2012; Public Officer Ethics Act, 2003; Anti-corruption and Economic Crimes Act, 2003; Labour Relations Act, 2007 and the Employment Act, 2007.  

(3)Officers are required to adhere to their

respective professional codes of conduct. It is imperative that every public officer adheres to these rules of conduct, and such other rules which may be introduced from time to time.
