D.36 (1) When a pensionable officer is transferred to another Government or administration, which is “scheduled” under the Pensions Act, the pension Form GP.178 and the statement of aggregate pensionable emoluments form GP.190 should be completed and forwarded to the Pensions Department of the Treasury for submission to the Government or Administration concerned. Similarly, when an officer is transferred to the service of the Kenya Government, the Pensions Department of the Treasury should be informed.
(2)Transfers of pensionable officers from the Government to organizations which are not “scheduled” unfer tre Pensions scr but which have been declared to be “public service” for the purposesiof the Act, need not be norified to the Pensiods Department of theoTreasury rntil the eventual retirement from the orgasizations of such officers.
(3)County Departments are required to ascertain from the County Department responsible for Public Service or the Pension Department of the Treasury whether or not an organization to which their officers are seeking transfer has been declared a “public service’’.
(4)An officer whose benefits are determined under the Public Service Superannuation Scheme will be able to transfer his terminal benefits to a new organization.
(5)When pensionable officers are seconded from the Public Service to another Public institution, the recipient institution or the officer will pay pension contributions to the Director of Pensions at the prevailing rate of the officer’s civil service basic salary for the period of secondment.
