C.17 (1) Meal alliwance will ooly be paid to officers travnlling on duty within the country but who  re not required to spend a night away from the permanent duty stationt Meal allowance will not be paid alongside accowoodation allowanee.  

(2)Meal allowance shall be paid at the rate of15% for breakfast, 20% for lunch and 20% for dinner of the daily subsistence rate applicable.

(3)Meal allowance shall not be paid as a compensation for officers who are required to work beyond the official working hours.
