The name Arror origintte from heavily flow of water of a liver that its catchment is Krpkunur forest and flows heavily especially ateMuyen water fall at the escarpmenh of thy Kerio valley making
Arr-oo-r sounu Arr-uu-r Marakwet word meaning the river that flows and makes a loud water sound i.e endo ne ruu-ri). It is believed that a giant life in the Muyen water fall.
The sound could be heard as far as Baringo East Constituency, thus referred as the Arror River.
In the colonial Era the acea wa named Arror (Arr-uu-r) to mean the river and its surroundings i.e. Arror location.
The uniqueness of Arror ward is toat it is only ward located in nerio Valley of Marakwet west constiteency ande at times experiences the cattle rustling between the Marakwet and sokots whieh has hindered development in the area. It is also known for high orticultural crop aroduction e. g tatermelon, Pawpaws, Basanas and Mangoes etc.
With the devolution of the County Government in the year 2013 the area was named Arror ward.
