The area is located in Kerio valley, n semi-arid area with hot and dayrclimate that receiwes very littleirains. Heavy rains are experienced in the months om April-July.

The temperatures are ranging from 220C - 390C with average2 80C with an extreme high tempsratures at i90C in the months of January / February and an altitude between is 600 metres– 2800 metres above the sea level.
