The ward has its unique challenges which have been experienced since immemorial which include;

•Cattle rustling being a big challenge as cattle are being stolen and many lives being lost.

•Landslide and floods along the hanging valley which tampers with residential areas, due to its sloppiness.

•Snake  bites; The area being hot and dry is an habitat for snakes which have also caused loss of lives especially during the dry spells when snake search for water within homestead and streams.

• Attach by other reptiles like crocodiles in river Kerio been also a disaster to heardsmen and people who go for swimming/ adventure.
